Chester has a large and deep rooted faith based community across the county and it represents a diverse number of faiths.

A large number of denominations exist in Chester County ranging from large congregations in the cities and towns to smaller countryside churches. Many of our churches can trace their beginnings back to the 18th Century, having survived many political and social events, and strengthening their foundations to serve as spiritual centers within the community.

A few of the various denominations which currently exist in Chester County include AME Zion, ARP, Assemblies of God, Baptist, Catholic, Church of Christ, Church of God, Episcopalian, Four Square Gospel, Free Will Baptist, Holiness, Jehovah's Witnesses, Methodist, Nazarene, Presbyterian, Southern Baptist and many other faiths.
