Special Events

The Horseless Carriage Club of America will be touring Chester County and the surrounding area the week of July 11, 2022.  The tour is expected to have more than 50 antique cars; all cars will be older than 1928!

History Comes Alive!

July 11-Catch a glimpse of the cars as they begin to arrive in the area. Our visitors will be touring the Chester County Historical Society and Transportation Museum Monday afternoon.

July 12-Official first day of the tour. The cars will be in Lowrys at Cotton Hills Farm around 2 p.m. and at Brown's Antiques & Things around 3 p.m. Stop by either location to view the cars, grab an ice cream at the farm or shop in Brown's A&T!

July 13-The cars will be on display in Richburg at the Gateway Conference Center beginning around 3 p.m. Kona Ice of the Catawba River will be there too. See these cars up close, talk with the owners, and enjoy a cool treat.

July 14-Gadsden Street in Chester will close early to allow the cars to park along the Hill. Take photos and imagine what Chester once looked like as these beautiful automobiles fill the Hill. Visit air-conditioned CURES Events Center for delicious ice cream from the Ice Cream King, take a spin through our historic district in a horse-drawn wagon with Dream Carriage & Special Events, visit our two museums, and shop the unique stores of Downtown Chester. Event runs approximately 2:30-4:30 p.m. (To keep the horses safe, wagon rides will be canceled if temps are above the mid 90's!)

July 15-Downtown Great Falls will see a parade of cars as the Tour travels Dearborn Street around 9:30 a.m.

**Please note that times are approximate based on numerous unpredictable conditions, including weather and road traffic. Events cannot be rescheduled due to inclement weather.
